ZTE Axon M could be the World’s First Foldable Smartphone Tipped to be launched this Year

We have been hearing some rumors over the years about the foldable smartphones, but it’s going to happen in a few days. ZTE is going to launch its upcoming flagship Axon M, which will be the first ever foldable smartphone. It is rumored that the launch event will happen on October 17.  This foldable smartphone has a true dual screen for the first time.

Here comes the Specs

According to the report, the smartphone sports a dual full-HD 1080p display that can be folded into a 6.8-inch display with a screen resolution of 1920×2160. Moreover, the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor; and it will comprise of a 4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. It is expected that the Axon M will obtain power from a 3,120 mAh battery, which could be a bit small for dual screens. The phone may have a single rotating 20-megapixel camera.

Besides, the smartphone may operate on the latest version of Android 8.0 Oreo. From the images on the internet, it is clear that the phone has a 3.5mm audio jack and the phone could be 10 mm thick. It is reported that the smartphone has the capability of running two apps on two different screens simultaneously, which will be like a true PC like multitasking that is not possible with current smartphones.

ZTE Axon M will greatly have the chance of replacing the tablets, laptops, and PCs. The phone acts as the bridge to fill the gap between tablets and smartphones with dual screen size almost equal to a small tablet. Axon M could be one of the coolest devices of the year. ZTE plans to have a press conference on October 17 in New York and the smartphone could be announced on that day. Initially, the smartphone will be available in the US with the price tag around $650.
