WhatsApp, a popular instant messaging app has developed cool new features for its users from all around the world. Accordingly, last week WhatsApp had introduced a new feature called “Live Location Tracking” feature. Moreover, now they reportedly plan to introduce a group voice and video call feature, which will allow multiple people to talk with each other at the same time.
Group Voice and Video Call Feature
With this new feature, the users will be able to make conference calls, group video calls to their friends, colleagues and family. However, this is not the first time we are hearing about the WhatsApp group calling feature. But, now it is pretty much confirmed by multiple references.
According to the report from “The Independent”, during the launch of the “Live Location Tracking” feature, the image pop-up on the screen shows off the symbols for group voice and video calls in the chat window. Moreover, the WABetaInfo spotted a subtle reference to the upcoming features in a recent WhatsApp blog post. They had reported that the feature is being tested and will soon be rolled out to those who use the beta version of WhatsApp.
However, this feature might not appear before the end of this year, since the feature still requires a lot of development. So, don’t expect too much of excitement to see this feature in WhatsApp soon.
Live Location Tracking Feature
The Live Location Tracking feature is available on both Android and iOS platform. This feature lets you share your current location in real-time with your family and friends. For Android users, WhatsApp uses Google map for location sharing and iOS users use their Apple Maps.
Users can able to select how long they want their location to be shared for and it can be disabled at any time. The users can also share their location with the multiple people at the same time. This feature is expected to be rolled out in the coming weeks. Overall, both the features will be rocking in future.
