Google integrates Video Calling through your Phone, Contacts and Android Messages Apps

Due to the technology development, everyone prefers video chat than the normal voice call. The iPhone users are very lucky, because they don’t need to switch from their currently using app to another app for making the video calls. Now, the Google has also brought the same feature with its Duo service.

What is Google Duo?

Google Duo is a video chat app where the user can have a face-to-face conversation with high image quality. Moreover, Google’s Duo video chat app will be now available in Phone, Contacts and also in Android Message apps. Earlier, the user can see the Duo call app in the call history along with the normal phone call option. Now, the company has brought a slight change here, the user can see a button which will allow them to make a video call directly from the dialler page. Therefore, you don’t need to visit the call history every time to make the video call.

How can you make a Video Call in Android Apps?

In the Android messages app, the user can see video call option at the chat page itself, hence, we don’t need to jump from one app to another app to make a video call. Remember, the user can make the video call only when both of them connect with Google Duo app. The caller and the receiver should need to install the Google Duo app with Android 7.0(Nougat).

Devices which will support this Feature

The devices like first-generation Pixel, Nexus, Android One devices and Pixel 2 will support this new feature. If your device fails to support ViLTE standard, then the video call will be carried out via installed Duo app.

The owners of the above listed smartphone users can see these updates in their devices. However, there’s no timeline mentioned for the installation of Duo video service on other Android smartphones.
